Guidance from the Qur’an and Sunnah as understood by the Salaf-us-Saliheen
Is the Bible the Same as the Injeel and the Torah Mentioned in the Qur’an?
From the earliest pages of human history, Allah sent guidance like light into a world filled with uncertainty. Every Prophet carried a portion of that light: a scripture, a message, a divine reminder for their people. That chain of revelation reached its final, perfected conclusion with the Qur’an, revealed to Prophet Muhammad ﷺ (peace be upon him).
But one question stands tall for seekers and reverts:
“Is the Bible today the same as the Injeel revealed to Isa (Jesus) (peace be upon him), or the Torah revealed to Musa (Moses) (peace be upon him)?”
Revelation Began as One River of Divine Light
The Torah (Tawrah) was revealed to Musa (Moses) (peace be upon him). The Psalms (Zabur) were given to Dawud (David) (peace be upon him). The Gospel (Injeel) was given to Isa (Jesus) (peace be upon him).
These were not reflections or interpretations. They were direct revelation from Allah.
Islam Affirms Every Prophet and Every Revelation
The Modern Bible Is Not the Same as the Original Torah or Injeel
The Bible as we know it today is a compilation written over centuries, containing fragments of truth mixed with human additions, edits, translations, and theological influence. This is not speculation — it is affirmed by Christian historians themselves.
The Qur’an: Final, Preserved, Protected
Conclusion
The Bible is not identical to the original Torah or the original Injeel. Those divine revelations existed, but they were not preserved. Only the Qur’an remains fully protected, unchanged, unedited, and divinely guarded until the last day.
